True Love

I’m sitting in Pinkberry enjoying the yummiest treat and I overheard this little boy asking his Grandma the most genuine questions.

Boy: Grandma, are you in love with Grandpa?
Gma: Yes I am. Boy: For how long now?
Gma: Since college when my roommate introduced us.
Boy: How long will I be in love for?
Gma: You’re not in love yet. You need a wife.
Boy: But I’m in love with you!

New mindset

Found two pairs of Nike running shorts that I had purchased earlier this summer. Both never worn. Tags still attached. My first thought, “I think I still have the receipt so I can return these!” This is why I need a personal trainer. Instead of seeing the untouched shorts and thinking, “My goodness, it’s about time I put those shorts to use” I immediately think of returning them to save some $$. (Nothing wrong with budgeting, right?)

Anyway, I found the receipt and threw it away. I’m gonna put those shorts to use and I’m gonna work to keep off the 5.5 lbs I lost during my recovery from my wisdom tooth extraction. Got me a little jumpstart. 🙂

DOMINATING

Completely paid off my credit card balance this month! Never thought dropping $974.74 would feel so liberating.

Next on my list: Nordstrom credit card. Oye vey. Already put $1,000 down last month and still have a lot to go…I’m pretty sure Nordies only hired me because they knew my entire paycheck would just be returned to them each month.

Eye exam tomorrow. I’m excited. I love getting new glasses. My mom keeps trying to tell me that getting my eyes checked doesn’t automatically mean new glasses but it’s just so fun – especially when my insurance gives me $100 to a new pair each year! 😎

Work is crazy and exhausting but making payments like the one I made this month makes it all worth it!

Three more days til Pacific Festival. Cannot wait.

Day #2 of Having 31 Teeth

Despite the pain, inability to barely open my mouth and constant headache, I think I had a pretty good day.

Taylor’s Recovery from Wisdom Tooth Extraction Diet:

  • A Cozy Shack Sugar-Free Pudding
  • Hummus
  • Cup of coffee ice cream
  • Arroz Caldo (Steven and I made it!)
  • Coldstone milkshake
  • Mac n Cheese
  • Mashed potatoes

And for some odd reason, I’ve been getting lightheaded pretty easily so we just spent the day at the theaters. We saw Crazy, Stupid Love (Ape, I thought of you the entire time!!) and Winnie the Pooh. Now, we’re at home watching Machete – I would not recommend it. Just listening to the movie as I type is making me wanna hurl.

Unfortunately, I have to go to work tomorrow at 8. I’m gonna bring my hummus and some soft fruit to work tomorrow. Can’t keep living off of milkshakes. ( ) ’_’ ( )

For the first four days of working, I took at least one wrong turn each day on my way to work. And not to mention, I live 2.3 miles away. But to my satisfaction, for the past two days I’ve been able to drive around the OC without the use of my navi. *Pat on back*

During my consistent 18 days of living in this area, I’ve concluded a few things I need to maximize my life here:

  • Some white friends who own boats so I can sail around the harbor and wear my Sperry’s out of necessity and not fashion.
  • A work-out buddy. Don’t get me wrong, I actually like the feeling after working out and feeling good in my body but I get so bored. I need a friend out here to make it fun yet rewarding.

Basically this is a classified ad for a friend disguised as a tumblr post. Sad.

Anyway, I finally have a day off tomorrow (thank God … literally) and will be spending it at the beach.
